Stopped 2/19 after rugby practice because it was open late and on my walk from Burrard Station to Sonder. Excellent decision! Closing soon, I believe, I was served quickly, but not rushed at all. The Assorted sashimi was fresh and generous as was the Spicy Scallop Roll. I'm taking some friends after Rugby 7's Friday night. Salmon, tuna, ebi and scallops were very flavorful. I will position my stays from Colorado so I can get to this place easily. HOPING Canada will annex Colorado soon. I'll be a regular at Sushi YAN!

A little out of the way restaurant that's probably not on any lists, but it was absolutely delicious. The warm puerh tea was just what the doctor ordered for cold hands. Would recommend and go again.

Big one for bento box . My friend from Victoria suggested me to come here. It’s very delicious. Fresh foods and not too salty. Not crowded in restaurant. Nice and friendly service. Not expensive at all. We love this place. The food very fast.Enjoy before shopping.

Quiet basement when we went at 4:30pm when everyone else is headed to the Swift concert. Maki Roll was very tasty, but beef don was a bit salty because of the generous sauce given. I like the vermicelli in the don, adding more texture to the dish.

Have you ever had a hunger attack while shopping for clothes? Halfway through my stroll on Robson street, I became extremely hungry and the first sign I saw was "Yan Sushi". Even though I didn't know anything about this place, I decided to go....well...climb down rather.....It's in a hole in the ground. The place was clean, the service was good and the sushi? I don't know how else to put this, but it was the freshest I've had in a while. We ordered again a week later for takeout and it was again just as fresh. Also, their rolls are super creative culinarily impressive and colourful. I love the fact that it was inconspicuous and unassuming.....very different and refreshing from the current world we live in. No glitz, no glam, no pretend, no...."oh let me distract you with our million dollar decor while we serve you subpar food and charge you up the wazoo." Nope.....just good food and grateful service. This place came along at the perfect time, as our regular sushi place started serving moldy ginger, and I draw the line at moldy anything. YAN...you got it goin' On!

Well you don’t come here for the atmosphere but the food is great. The sashimi is very think sliced. The half order is 5 pieces..so filling. This is our second time here while visiting ...and we will be back. Very reasonable and their tea is yummy and complimentary.

Came here last night for a quick dinner. First time coming here and was so pleased with everything. Was very quiet which was nice, the server was super nice and friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. We love miso soups but have a hard time finding places that we like for their miso soups however it tastes great. Sushi was so good, all tasted fresh and not dry at all. I 10/10 recommend and would definitely come here again
